Surgical Technologist - Operating Room - York Hospital - Full-Time - Day

Provides technical services and assistance in the operating room at an intermediate level and in accordance with established procedures, protocols and regulations.

Requirements

• Prepares operating rooms for surgery using appropriate techniques.
• Acts as a resource for Surgical Technologist I.
• Assists the surgical team during operative procedures.
• Maintains aseptic techniques.
• Assists surgeons during operations by retracting tissues under direction.
• Identifies and cares for specimens.
• Teaches scrub role to newly hired Surgical Technologists and RNs.
• Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
