Job Description
The Data Center Technician will be responsible for the effective performance of assigned tasks in a data center, including general datacenter, server, and network device setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and housekeeping. This role involves hardware and network device maintenance, troubleshooting, vendor support, and logistical management. Regular inspection of equipment and updates of documentation are also expected.
Requirements
- Perform weekly sweeps of server and storage equipment.
- Diagnose server and storage equipment connectivity issues.
- Engage vendor support organizations for fixes.
- Manage logistical aspects of break-and-fix process.
- Oversee inventory, physical inspection, and capacity management.
