Job Description
We are looking for a part-time Disclosure & Receiver/Reader Officer to join our team on a permanent basis, working 2 days (total of 14hrs and 32mins) per week between Monday - Friday, 0800-1600. The role requires the knowledge and skills to review and assess all material gathered on CT investigations, identifying evidential lines of enquiry, and recording actions to be taken. The Disclosure Officer will examine and list all material which is generated during an investigation, considering whether material is accurate & relevant and determining its potential to either undermine the prosecution case or assist the defence.
Requirements
- Investigatory experience
- Sound knowledge/practical experience of the Major Incident Room Standardised Administration Procedures
- Knowledge and experience in relation to all relevant legislation relating to the role
- Experience & understanding of the use of covert tactics and investigations
- Knowledge of the HOLMES data base and HOLMES Disclosure Module
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage own workload
