Creative & Professional Writing Assistant Professor - Composition

Western Connecticut State University's Macricostas School of Arts & Sciences seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor in Creative & Professional Writing to serve as Coordinator of Composition and Coordinator of the Writing Center. The successful candidate will teach in and oversee the university's Composition program, envision and revise the Composition curriculum, and supervise student peer tutors and the Writing Center space.

Requirements

• Completed terminal degree (Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition, English, or Writing, or an MFA in Writing preferred)
• Evidence of scholarship in Rhetoric and Composition or experience leading a composition program
• Experience working in or leading a Writing Center or similar services to provide student learning support in writing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
