Job Description
Electronics Design Engineer for Western Digital in Rochester, MN, responsible for validating cutting-edge mixed-signal chips, automating testing workflows, and debugging signal integrity issues. Early career development program with opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements
- Characterize next-gen Preamp chips using high-frequency RF test gear
- Automate testing workflows – write/modify TCL scripts to speed up validation cycles
- Debug signal integrity issues on prototype boards; run failure analysis and publish findings
- Partner with chip designers and vendors – test theories, verify fixes, optimize HDD performance
- Build test plans from scratch – design experiments, collect data, document what works (and what doesn't)
