Job Description
Western Digital is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Quality Engineer to support and enhance our quality systems across the product lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance plans, inspection procedures, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and internal quality frameworks
- Conduct internal audits to assess process adherence and identify improvement opportunities
- Support external audits, including supplier and customer audits
- Define, track, and analyze key quality performance indicators (KPIs)
- Partner closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams
- Monitor production processes and identify defects or deviations
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured methodologies
