The Inclusion Program Teacher is a key member of the Westfield Area YMCA's Adaptive Programming team, responsible for assisting with specially designed programs to provide instruction and promoting independence, confidence, social connection, and healthy living skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Background in cooking, culinary artis, nutrition, or related field strongly preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with individuals with disabilities or enrollment/completion of coursework in Special Education, Social Work, or a related field
- Experience teaching, coaching, or leading small groups preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt lessons and support participants with varying ability levels
- BLS and First Aid certifications required (training may be provided by the Y as needed)
