As a Field Service Technician I, you will provide fuel handling equipment or outage critical crane, field services at remote operating nuclear power plants and at local service center operations.
Requirements
- Train to install, set-up, maintain, inspect, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot fuel handling/outage critical refuel equipment at customer sites worldwide.
- Support equipment maintenance at the Waltz Mill service center between outage assignments.
- Learn to review operational procedures, maintenance procedures, and drawings in detail.
- Participate in training programs to acquire and maintain certifications and keep current with technology and procedures.
- Practice a “Safety First” attitude as a necessary part of all activities.
- Gain and maintain “Unescorted Access” status at nuclear power plant sites.
- Participate in team-building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers and other departments.
- Report status of field work progress, changes, problems, and mistakes to management during outage shifts.
- Do extensive travel by airplane or automobile (60%-80%) and working with or around hazardous materials.
