Requirements

• Completion of a formal apprentice program or equivalent number of years of education and/or experience
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures
• Troubleshoot/Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Read and work from schematics and prints
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
• Strong understanding of safe electrical practices
• Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated equipment
• Ability to properly install conduit and wire
