Job Description
Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Associate Geologist, Engineer, or Scientist to contribute to the Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START). This role involves performing EPA Investigations, Removal Assessments, Removal Actions, and supporting federal clients with scientific data. The position offers leadership within a team and on-call responsibilities, with potential for periodic emergency response work.
Requirements
- B.S. in a Science with 2-5 years experience in environmental and/or geotechnical sampling or removal oversight.
- Oil and hazardous materials emergency response experience is a plus.
- Ability to plan, lead site walks and assessments.
- Experience performing site assessments and collecting multimedia samples.
- Exposure to various technical procedures.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Experience in preparing planning documents.
- Attention to detail and self-starter.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Able to be on-call (for 1-4 weeks a year).
