Whitley Penn is looking for a Tax Senior Associate to join our team! The Tax Senior Associate is responsible for leading tax engagements, preparing and reviewing tax documents, and recommending tax strategies by researching and interpreting tax laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master's degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting, demonstrating a proven progression in tax return complexity, scope and research
- Active CPA license or CPA eligibility
- Proficiency in use of technology and accounting programs
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles the Internal Revenue Code and other official tax laws, regulations and guidance
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to plan and execute multiple engagements and projects, simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing; actively listens and clearly communicates ideas and information
- Strong relationship building capabilities; ability to work respectfully and productively with diverse individuals in a variety of roles
