Ultrasound Technologist - Diagnostic Imaging

Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient’s diagnosis and/or treatment. Provide radiologists with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with the Radiologist when necessary.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required
• Sonography Canada (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with Sonography Canada within six months of the date of hire
• Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, breast, vascular and musculoskeletal preferred
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Physical ability to perform the expected job duties
• Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish priorities
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills
