Job Description
The Wilmette Park District offers a part-time Parks Maintenance Worker position, responsible for performing various manual labor duties and routine maintenance, including mowing, watering, planting, and snow removal.
Requirements
- Removal of snow and ice from pedestrian and maintenance compound areas if applicable
- Assists with the organization, storage, and lock-up all shop-related areas and items at the end of each workday
- Operate Park District vehicles and equipment
- Plant, trim, and maintain plants, trees, and shrubs
- Maintain athletic fields
- Pick up trash, empty trash cans, and remove from parks
- Keep all related equipment and tools clean, maintained, and stored properly
- Actively contribute to the Park District's sustainability goals
- Perform other related duties as assigned, based on agency needs
