General Duty Radiology Technologist - MRT performs assigned Diagnostic duties in accordance with their scope of training and experience. Assists radiologist in performance of radiologic procedures and provides direct patient care, administrative and operational support functions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Imaging Technology
- Successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists certification exam (CAMRT)
- Membership in CAMRT-MB and CAMRT in good standing
- Ability to start and establish IVs or commit to successfully completing the departmental Intravenous Certification Program within 3 months from the date of hire
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Physical health to meet the requirements of the position
- Ability to safely transfer large and/or heavy clients who may have limited or no weight bearing capabilities
- Ability to lift and position clients, some of whom are in a state of unconsciousness
- Exposure to radiation, infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress
- Ability to push/pull portable equipment in a safe manner
