Job Description
Join Southern Health-Santé Sud as a Health Care Aide and provide support and assistance to residents/patients in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). This role requires person-centered care according to established standards of practice and involves working in a team environment with a focus on cultural diversity.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience working in a health care setting
- Experience caring for elderly or disabled clients
- Grade 12
- Health Care Aide Certificate from recognized program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of Confidentiality/privacy requirements
- Knowledge of Workplace safety requirements
- Knowledge of Violence Prevention Program (VPP) training
- Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
- Proficiency in both official languages
