Job Description
The Patient Transport Assistant is responsible for the safe transportation of patients and other patient-related items within the Health Sciences Centre. This role requires good interpersonal and English communication skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting requests for service.
Requirements
- High school education, Manitoba standards, required
- Must successfully complete on-the-job Cushman Cart Training within three months
- Lifts and transfers training within one month
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training
- Basic computer skills
- Good interpersonal and English communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting requests for service
