Job Description
Under the general direction of the Chief Power Engineer and Maintenance Manager, the Plant Operating Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of high pressure boilers, refrigeration compressors, air compressors, diesel engines and generators, electric motors, pumps, turbines and all related equipment. The successful candidate will hold a valid and current Manitoba Second Class Power Engineer Certificate.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience as an Engineer in charge of a shift in a first-class plant, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with instrumentation and operating experience (including minor troubleshooting) with electrical and electronic industrial controls required
- In accordance with the Regulations under the Power Engineers Act, the incumbent requires a valid and current Manitoba Second Class Power Engineer Certificate
