The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment through specialized floor care and environmental services throughout the facility.
Requirements
- Provides excellent customer service to all patients, residents, customers and co-workers.
- Anticipates the needs and wants of those we serve.
- Completes documentation as required.
- Use of commercial cleaning products and chemicals.
- Use of commercial cleaning equipment including auto-scrubbers and floor machines, squeegees, water fed poles, pressure washers and extension ladders.
- Ability to follow standard work, standard cleaning, and disinfecting procedures.
- Perform waste removal duties including infectious and hazardous waste, sharps disposal, recycling and trash disposal, and linen transport.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Prioritizes and organizes work efficiently to meet department timelines.
- Cleans and maintains interior and exterior windows and glass surfaces to ensure exceptional clarity, appearance, and adherence to high-quality standards.
- Completes mandatory educational requirements of Winona Health caregivers.
- Keeps an open mind and demonstrates a willingness to learn new methods, procedures, and techniques that embrace change.
- Understands, supports and integrates the organization’s vision/mission/values.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
