Automation Engineer L3

Design, program, simulate, and test automation products or processes to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. Work on software requirements, automation roadmap design, and testing process improvements. Develop technical specifications, implement automated testing tools, and ensure smooth communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Understanding software requirements and design of the product
• Analyzing and understanding current technology architecture, system interdependencies, and application stacks
• Formulating project plans and submitting them to project management for approval
• Contributing to automation roadmap design and testing process improvements
• Designing and executing software development and reporting
• Ensuring the environment is ready for execution process designing, test plans, and developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases and executing these cases
• Implementing, tracking, and reporting key metrics to assure full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements through automation
• Providing resolutions to problems by taking the initiative to use all available resources for research
• Designing and implementing automated testing tools when possible, and updating tools as needed to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Ensuring smooth flow of communication with customer & internal stakeholders
• Working with Agile delivery teams to understand product vision and product backlogs
• Collaborating with Development team to create/improve continuous deployment practices
• Working closely with business Subject Matter Experts to understand requirements for automation
• Ensuring long term maintainability of the system by documenting projects according to WIPRO guidelines
• Providing assistance to testers and supports personnel as needed to determine system problems
• Ability to perform backend/database programming for key projects
• Staying up-to-date on industry standards and incorporating them appropriately
