Job Description
WM (Waste Management) is seeking a Laborer Landfill operator to assist in containing loose refuse and directing traffic at a landfill. The role involves manually picking up refuse, directing traffic, moving waste, and assisting with site maintenance. Physical requirements include lifting heavy materials, driving a tractor, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Requirements
- Manually picks up windblown paper from periphery of landfill.
- Carries a large plastic trash bag.
- Pulls paper from fence and lifts loose paper.
- Uses mobile vacuum to gather loose paper.
- Drives tractor pulling vacuum along the fence.
- Park and descends tractor.
- Grasps vacuum hose and guides it.
- Lands and descends tractor cab.
- Lift construction materials
- Separate metal, white goods, lumber, and cardboard.
