Landfill Operations Manager

The Landfill Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume landfill facility, leading a team of 13 operations staff, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant landfill operations. The position manages weekday operations and ensures compliance with environmental regulations, promotes safety best practices, and coordinates landfill activities.

Requirements

• Ensures smooth operation of landfill
• Minimizes operational costs while maximizing productivity and maintaining safety and environmental compliance
• Actively monitors ongoing permitting issues
• Oversees personnel needs of the department
• Assists in the budget process as required
• Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property of the landfill
