Job Description
Wood is recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Designer to support our global clients to deliver mining projects. The role involves designing and technical support for electrical systems for industrial plants and related infrastructure support.
Requirements
- Complete design and drafting for electrical packages
- Implement project CAD procedures and guidelines
- Design calculations for voltage drop, lighting levels, cable tray fill and heat trace wattage
- Populating electrical load and cable lists
- Check layouts and review overall presentation
- Maintain quality control of designs and packages
- Co-ordinate drawing packages for issue and prepare issue folders for electronic files
- Review project documents for scope, presentation and technical accuracy
- Establish good working relationships and communicate with area leads, department managers, clients and other engineering disciplines
- Attend site visits to collect data as required for projects
- Develop and enhance project CAD systems
