Job Description
Workato is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the team building the retrieval layer that grounds Workato's enterprise AI agents. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering management, technical direction, and execution, and will be responsible for building a world-class team that can ship high-quality results.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering management experience
- 2+ years managing managers or running teams of 8+ engineers
- Demonstrated track record of shipping non-trivial systems to production
- Experience leading mixed teams of software engineers and applied AI / ML engineers
- Strong hiring track record
- Comfort operating with ambiguity, shaping strategy, and partnering with Product on what to build
- Hands-on engineering background earlier in your career
- Working understanding of modern retrieval and applied AI
- Familiarity with the surrounding stack
