Job Description
Workato is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Ruby) to join their growing Engine team. The team focuses on developing and maintaining core parts of Workato Recipe, including recipe execution, event processing, and webhooks. This role involves optimizing performance, scaling, and ensuring data protection and atomicity.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in building scalable distributed backend applications.
- Excellent understanding of distributed systems patterns and algorithms.
- Strong understanding of large web application components (databases, load balancers, etc.).
- Knowledge of networking protocols and stacks.
- Knowledge of common data structures and algorithms.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
- At least two languages (Ruby, Go or Rust)
- Basic understanding of cloud deployments (k8s, Terraform, ArgoCD).
- Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
