Job Description
Join our Worldwide Flight Services family and contribute to the timely delivery of cargo packages, business to customer delivery, and on-time flights while operating safely and securely. This role offers guaranteed full-time hours with the opportunity to transition into a permanent, benefits-eligible position after 90 days. As an Air Logistics Warehouse Associate you will contribute to the timely delivery of Express packages by loading and unloading of air freight containers.
Requirements
- Load and unload Express packages from air freight containers to and from semi-trucks in a widely dispersed area.
- Sorting, scanning and movement of small packages within the warehouse.
- Build up / Breakdown package containers ready for outbound/inbound flights
- Removal of tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading
- Operate air freight handling equipment such as pallet jacks and gaylords (push carts)
- Weighing, labeling, or make/break-down of gaylords or air freight containers
- Check air express containers for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate per air safety and security guidelines
- Report to position on time, as scheduled, including mandatory overtime requirements, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Successfully complete required computer based and on the job trainings
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards
- Perform all functions in accordance with safety procedures and policies
- Work outdoors with exposure to extreme weather/elements, engine noise, and noxious fumes
