Functional Safety Engineer II

Woven by Toyota is seeking a Functional Safety Engineer II to design and implement technical mechanisms ensuring the safety and quality of our products. As part of the Global Product Quality sub-function, this role will report to the Team Lead of Product Quality and follow a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

• Define and govern the Functional Safety lifecycle
• Partner directly with engineering teams to co-develop Safety Plans and Technical Safety Concepts
• Conduct deep-dive assessments of the autonomy software stack to identify and remediate safety risks
• Manage the technical quality and deliverables of external safety consultants and Tier-1 partners
• Perform independent technical reviews and audits to evaluate project compliance against organizational safety processes
• Promote a proactive safety culture through technical mentorship and coaching for software and systems engineers
