Job Description
Wright Tree Service of Canada is hiring a Utility Arborist to trim, prune, and remove trees and branches that pose a risk to power lines, poles, and other utility infrastructure. The position requires a Certified Utility Arborist (CUA or UA) or Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT) certification, and experience working with power tools and equipment. The job involves working in both urban and rural environments, managing vegetation near overhead and underground utility lines, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Certified Utility Arborist (CUA or UA) or Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT) certification
- Basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques
- Valid Class 5 drivers' license with less than 6 demerits
- Ability to lift, move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis
- Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions
