This Opportunity - WSP is currently initiating a search for an Associate Project Manager with the potential to work out of either our Seattle, WA, Redmond, WA, or Tacoma, WA office. Be involved in projects with our Federal Environmental Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clientsâ objectives and solves their challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs Degree in Civil/Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
- Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing (orally and in written form) ideas effectively and professionally to engineering and non-engineering audiences.
- Self-starter with attention to detail, flexibility with multi-tasking, and competency in prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as to function as part of a team, to meet business objectives.
- Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSPâs health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek (overtime and weekend work is possible).
- Ability to perform field assignments that may involve lifting and carrying heavy objects and walking on uneven terrain is required.
- Experience with sampling of environmental media (soils, sediment, water).
- Flexibility for occasional travel, depending on project-specific requirements.
- Must successfully complete and pass WSPâs Motor Vehicle screening.
- Must be able to pass a HAZWOPER physical and be medically able to wear a tight-fitting respirator.
- Engineer in Training Certification or ability to obtain, with desire to pursue licensing.
- Basic proficiency with math principles, predictive models, and tools.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- HAZWOPER 40-hour training is desirable.
- Familiarity with a range of civil and environmental engineering practices including design and implementation of site investigations and sampling programs to assess sites impacted by hazardous or solid waste; application of remedial approaches to mitigate contamination of water and land resources; and collection of environmental monitoring data to assess remedial performance.
