WSP USA is looking for a Building Technology Systems Lead Consultant to provide high-level technical assistance and guidance for multi-site/phase due diligence, design, development, building, testing, and inspecting of smart building projects. The successful candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in AV and Telecommunications discipline with prior smart building technology design experience.
Requirements
- Possess a four-year degree (B.S. in engineering is preferred) or equivalent combination of technical degree and related work experience designing technology systems for buildings.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant post education experience in an AV and Telecommunications discipline with prior smart building technology design experience.
- Proficient with building technology principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to project work-related issues.
- Extensive knowledge of smart building design.
- Experience with building planning, design, and installation management; including active involvement in a variety of renovation and new design projects.
- Well-defined specific knowledge of relevant building technology installation and/or construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
- Ability to plan and conduct inspections and investigations on various aspects of the installation and design of equipment, facilities, and systems.
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.
- Demonstrated high-level of self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
