WSP is seeking an Experienced Professional, Traffic Engineering to support the successful traffic signal design teams working on high-profile projects across the USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workloads, training junior members, and supporting the HOD in workload management.
Requirements
- Perform professional traffic engineering work and conduct investigations and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, roadways, intersections, signage, signals, pavement markings, and transportation corridors
- Develop and incorporate advanced technologies, monitoring devices, modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies
- Traffic Signal Design, Traffic Signal Communication Design, ITS Design
- Signage, signals, pavement markings
- Consult with US teams on the implementation of designer's project task orders
- Provide and coordinate technical responses to inquiries from contractors, tenants, consultants, and other regulatory agencies
- Lead the early identification of project design goals and work with Project Managers to guide design to meet those goals
- Assist with evaluation of change order requests, requests for information, and other change issues
- Coordinate with construction teams to provide technical guidance, address design-related issues, facilitate smooth project execution and ensure field changes compliance with design intent and project requirements
- Ensure final project deliverables (As-Builts & O&M Manuals) are delivered in a timely manner and meet project governance requirements
- Provide risk management feedback on all assigned projects during design and into construction
- Writing technical reports summarizing conclusions and recommendations
