We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior or Principal Hydrologist (UK WIDE) to join our dynamic Sustainable Water Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and contribute to high-profile Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) projects across the UK.
Requirements
- A track record of contributing to the hydrological and water management elements and WRMP inputs in recent AMP cycles.
- Experience in the development of rainfall runoff models, together with a sound understanding of model calibration techniques.
- A solid understanding of wider hydrology approaches that are often required for water resources applications in England and Wales.
- Some familiarity with demand management and water resources modelling approaches.
- A good understanding of the latest UK water resources management regulations including the Water Resources Planning Guidelines.
- An understanding of approaches to assessing climate change resilience.
- An attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance, to include the production of high quality client and stakeholder/regulator facing deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to write high quality concise reports.
- Working collaboratively with other sectors/disciplines to deliver the hydrological aspects of a wide range of challenging and engaging projects.
