Join us as an Intermediate Mine Waste Engineer supporting mining clients in Northern Ontario. Design and oversee the construction of mine waste facilities, conduct geotechnical and environmental assessments, and develop mine waste management plans. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining, or related engineering discipline; a Master's degree is considered an asset.
- Approximately 5–7 years of experience in mine waste management, geotechnical engineering, or a closely related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, or eligibility for registration, in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices, including experience with tailings dam design and management.
- Proficiency with relevant analysis and modelling software such as GeoStudio (e.g., SLOPE/W, SEEP/W) and related tools.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations, permitting processes, and applicable guidelines for mine waste facilities.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams and contributing to project management activities (scope, schedule, budgets, and deliverables).
- Living in, or willing to relocate to, the Sudbury or North Bay area to support local and regional projects.
