We are seeking a Lead Environmental Engineer or Geoscientist to join our team in Terrace, BC and Whitehorse, YT, to work on complex environmental and contaminated sites initiatives across northern and western Canada. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in contaminated sites investigation and remediation, combined with some project coordination and management experience.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience leading contaminated-sites assessments (Phase I/II/III ESA, delineation, remediation support) with autonomy to guide project-level decisions.
- CSAP (Contaminated Sites Approved Professional) designation preferred but not required.
- Professional registration (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) or eligibility for registration in BC and/or Yukon.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental, Geological, or Civil Engineering (or related discipline with environmental focus), Environmental Science, Geoscience, or related discipline.
- Significant experience (5-10+ years) working in northern, remote, Indigenous, or industrial settings with complex multi-media contamination issues.
- Strong capability in project management including financial and scope oversight, client-facing interactions, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in contaminated-sites characterization, conceptual site model development, remediation technologies, and environmental regulatory requirements in BC, YT, and western/northern Canada.
- Experience conducting and overseeing field programs in remote or northern regions.
- A collaborative approach, commitment to safety, and strong problem-solving instincts tailored to complex environmental conditions and multidisciplinary teams.
