This internship is part of the WSP Summer Internship Program, offering hands-on work experience in the Lighting Design field. The successful candidate will gain exposure to real projects and work side by side with senior staff. The internship will be part of the 12-week program scheduled to start on May 18th, 2026.
Requirements
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Lighting Design, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, Theater Production Design or related degree or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Demonstrated interest in lighting or related field and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP's work and projects.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, and producing technical drawings
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong technical writing, analytical and communications skills
- Exhibits creative thinking and design oriented skills
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
- Demonstrated interest in lighting design or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP's work and projects.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
- Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship
