Mine Waste Civil/Geotechnical Engineer

This Opportunity: WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mine Waste Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mine Waste team in Lakewood, CO. The following locations will also be considered: Anchorage, AK; Madison, WI; or St. Louis, MO. Other WSP office locations will be considered for an exceptional candidate. Be involved in projects with our US Mine Waste Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. In this role you will have the opportunity to work as a part of a regional team on challenging mining, heavy civil, and geotechnical projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geological Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant post education experience.
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to complete engineering calculations and analyses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and on teams.
• Comfortable working in remote settings.
• An active focus on health and safety for themselves and others.
• Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
• Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
• Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
