Senior Ecologist

As a Senior Ecologist with WSP, you'll join a friendly and diverse team and contribute to large-scale projects with real influence on biodiversity outcomes. You'll provide technical advice, lead ecology surveys, and input into ecological deliverables. You'll work alongside environmental specialists across the UK, gaining exposure to multidisciplinary thinking and global expertise.

Requirements

• An appropriate academic qualification in a related discipline
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management
• Protected species license(s) or other specialist skill sets
• Experience in undertaking Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, UKHab surveys, and protected species surveys
• Experience in producing fee quotations and tenders and inputting into technical ecological reports
• Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and policy, and ecological survey methodologies
• Strong communication skills, and a solution-focussed and proactive attitude
