Senior / Principal Traffic Signals Engineer

We are looking for a Senior or Principal Traffic Signalling Engineer to lead day-to-day technical delivery of highway consultancy services. The role will involve client-facing work, project management, and technical expertise in traffic signals and engineering. The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of projects at both local and national levels, and will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients across the UK. The role can be based from any WSP office, with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home working.

Requirements

• Relevant knowledge and experience of traffic signal design at various stages of the project life cycle
• Specific experience in SCOOT and MOVA design, implementation and validation is advantageous
• Experience of contract document preparation or contract administration/site supervision using Public Works Contracts
• Good communication, client/stakeholder management and interpersonal skills are essential
• Working towards or having achieved Chartered Civil Engineer or an Incorporated Engineer is advantageous
