Senior Substation P&C Engineer

WSP is seeking a Senior Substation P&C Engineer to provide technical assistance and engineering guidance for substation projects, including due diligence, investigation, impact assessment, permitting support, design, development, and construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-7 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in protection and control engineering, infrastructure planning, design, and construction management. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing complex electrical engineering work, incorporating future-ready techniques into protective relaying philosophies and schemes, and providing technical input on engineering, design, testing, maintenance modifications, constructability, and construction sequencing issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 5-7 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer
• Engineer in Training Certification
• Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, processes, and design/build applications as applied to substation projects
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management
• Working knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements
