Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, a 100% employee-owned ESOP and one of the largest and most well-established engineering companies in the United States, is seeking a Controls Engineer for their Calabasas, CA office. The position will provide project and controls engineering services to WM customers, including direct design, programming, and testing and commissioning assignments.
Requirements
- Designs, develops, and implements control systems to meet integrated machine requirements and customer specifications.
- Develops control logic software and user interface applications for PLC, SCADA, and HMI.
- Creates PFDs, P&IDs, single line diagrams, cable and conduit schedules, instrumentation and control data sheets, and I/O lists.
- Develops electrical schematics and panel layouts for control cabinets and automation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Integrates various hardware components into control systems for seamless operation.
- Diagnoses and resolves technical issues related to SCADA, HMI, and PLC systems through systematic troubleshooting.
- Performs commissioning and start-up activities for integrated systems and the development of technical documentation.
- Ensures compliance with all regulations, codes, etc. as they apply to the contract and project.
