Job Description
Wunderlich-Malec Engineering is hiring an Instrumentation Field Technician for a full-time position in Calabasas, CA. The role involves specification start-up, calibration, and troubleshooting of project-related instrumentation, as well as working on system drawings, motor control equipment, and PLC equipment. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in instrumentation, system drawings, and PLC equipment, and be able to work effectively with customers and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Instrumentation – Specification start-up, calibration, and troubleshooting of project related instrumentation
- Systems Drawings – Ability to read Process and Instrumentation, Control Loop and Control Panel drawings
- Motor Control Equipment - Troubleshooting 480VAC distribution and motor control equipment
- PLC Equipment - Troubleshooting PLC and relay type equipment
- Equipment modifications – Able to make necessary equipment modifications in the field, both mechanical and electrical
- Computer/ Networking - Installation and start-up of computer and networking equipment
- General administration such as paperwork, copying, printing, faxing, and using a computer
