Electrical Engineer, Dispatchable (Entry, Staff, Senior or Principal)

Xcel Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development, planning, and execution of dispatchable projects. The role involves supporting natural gas facility construction and power plant retrofits, with a focus on electrical and control systems. The successful candidate will have extensive technical expertise and be able to lead projects of moderate to large size.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited curriculum, electrical engineering degree preferred.
• 2+ years relevant engineering experience for Staff Engineer Level, 5+ years for Senior Engineer Level, 9+ years for Principal Engineer Level.
• Ability to demonstrate unique technical skills and core competencies for the engineering level.
• EIT/FE (Engineer in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering) strongly preferred for Staff Engineer Level.
• PE (Professional Engineer) registration may be required for Senior Engineer Level.
• Leadership skills and ability to assign tasks to and direct engineers, technicians, craft personnel and administrative staff.
