Senior Financial Operations Accountant (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Xpansiv is a global leader in environmental commodity markets, and this is a unique opportunity in Bendigo to work for a fast-growing, global organisation operating at the centre of international energy and environmental markets. In this role, you will support financial operations across Xpansiv’s global markets and entities, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple regions.

Requirements

• Record financial transactions, including preparing, verifying, allocating, and posting journal entries in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
• Perform monthly balance sheet and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of variances
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, meeting strict deadlines and reviewing financial results for accuracy
• Prepare and review customer invoices, collaborating with Sales and other internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient billing
• Facilitate and support global accounts receivable and revenue management processes
• Inspect accounting records and processes to ensure operational efficiency, accuracy, and strong internal controls
• Maintain well-organised, auditable financial records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial and operational data to support internal reporting and management insights
• Develop and maintain regular management reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and identification of key drivers impacting financial performance
• Identify anomalies, risks, or process improvement opportunities within financial data, escalating insights and recommendations to Finance leadership as appropriate
• Proactively identify and report potential operational risks, control gaps, or practice breaches to Finance leadership.
