Medical Receptionist - Full Time

The patient service specialist is responsible for all front office activities, including the reception area, mail, insurance verification, and patient data integrity.

Requirements

• Greets patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner
• Provides superior internal and external customer service
• Follows all HIPAA guidelines and rules
• Maintains proper personnel conduct and confidentiality of patient, staff, and physician information
• Balances daily charges
• Ensures that any money received is safeguarded
• Manages patient charts
• Arranges referrals when needed
• Sends patient information and records as requested by other medical entities
• Assists other staff when needed in a positive, team-centered manner
• Assists in scheduling and following up on provider referrals
• Ensures lobby remains clean and stocked with necessary items
• Seeks out methods and practices to minimize financial risk
