Provides primary and episodic care to patients, performs physical exams, orders and interprets tests, and prescribes treatment. Responsible for managing communications, providing medical orders, and supervising healthcare staff.
Requirements
- Medical degree, Nurse Practitioner degree, or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited university
- Current license and DEA certification
- Board certification for Nurse Practitioners
- 1 year of experience preferred
- Understanding of medical coding and billing
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Competent with common PC applications
- Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate provider staff
