Platform Operations Engineer - (Public Sector)

This role supports government agencies to strengthen and modernise their critical IT infrastructure by maintaining on-premises platforms, ensuring system reliability, and implementing modern operational practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 2–5 years of relevant experience
• Strong experience with enterprise virtualisation platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V)
• Hands-on experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS) and enterprise backup solutions
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows Server administration
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms
• Practical understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and technologies
• Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
