Job Description
Direct Support Professional - DSP 1 assists individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, providing emotional support, building relationships, and facilitating activities to promote quality of life. Responsibilities include supervising, protecting, and caring for individuals, ensuring health, wellness, and safety, and implementing individualized service and behavior support plans. Assist with daily living tasks, provide personal care, and teach skills to promote independence.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to meet essential physical demands of position.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with people with I/DD, including regular exposure to and handling of bodily fluids.
- Basic computer skills, including email and utilizing Workday and related systems.
