The Part Time Direct Support Professional will assist individuals in maximizing their strengths, interests, and abilities, upholding their personal rights, and providing emotional support and building positive relationships.

Requirements

• Assist individuals in maximizing their strengths, interests, and abilities

• Support individuals to meet personal goals

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapeutic environment
• Utilize safe and appropriate handing procedures
• Implement infection control protocols
• Assist with personal care and ADLs
• Teach and develop habilitative and rehabilitative skills
• Support person-centered advocacy
• Facilitate ethical decision making
• Provide supervision for and/or planning and preparing meals
• Transport and escort individuals on recreational activities
• Safeguard personal allowance funds and any additional funds provided
• Administer medication as prescribed
• Assist with medication inventory and scheduling of medical appointments
• Participate in the development of treatment plans
• Comply with all regulatory agency requirements
• Perform all other duties as assigned
