Technician Apprentice

We are looking for a Technician Apprentice to join our team. This is a full-time entry-level position with a 12-month apprenticeship program that includes classroom and hands-on training to prepare you for a career as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma and/or GED
• Meet Yancey employment requirements (mechanical testing, background checks, driving record checks, and drug screening)
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Desire to work in the Heavy Equipment industry as a technician

Benefits

• Starting pay $18-$23 per hour
• Scheduled increases at 6-month and 12-month marks
• Complete set of tools provided (valued at $8,000)
• Eligible to keep tools after 2 years of employment
