Job Description
We have an exciting dayshift opportunity available for a Senior Payroll Officer. Work from home or the office – you choose! The role involves processing high-volume Australian payroll, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience processing Australian payroll
- Experience with high-volume payroll environments (200+ employees)
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll fundamentals (PAYG, superannuation, STP)
- Xero accounting experience
- Experience preparing and reconciling payroll journals
- Experience in accounts payable and receivable processing
- Demonstrated experience supporting month-end accounting processes
- Experience with accruals and prepayments
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation capability
- Strong Excel skills (including reconciliations and analysis)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical ability
- Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently
