Director, Specialty Finance Credit

Willow Wealth is a leading private markets investment platform seeking a Director, Specialty Finance Credit to scrutinize sub-advisors' underwriting independently and evaluate the credit case and the fit of the investment for the platform.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in specialty finance and asset-backed lending underwriting
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related quantitative discipline
• Quantitative skills and ability or willingness to implement AI tools to enhance productivity and quality of analysis
• Independent thinker who is comfortable disagreeing, respectfully, with a sub-advisor's credit case - and comfortable changing their mind when the evidence warrants
• Intellectual flexibility across corporate cash-flow credit, asset-backed structures, and dislocated liquid credit
• Collaborative, low-ego team players who leave the firm smarter than they found it
• Operators at heart - comfortable engaging management teams, sub-advisors, and servicers
• A disciplined underwriter who can say no: our selectivity bar is high and downside protection is the first consideration
• Excellent communication skills
